FPGA Implementation of Telecommand System for Nano-satellite

In the context of satellite communication, telecommand is a message from the ground station to the satellite that is used to control its activities. This paper contains a description of the telecommand system’s architecture for satellite communication. The telecommand system is being designed for RSAT, a Nano Satellite meant for fleet detection to monitor India’s coast line. At the ground station, the telecommand generation is done using Python and its counterpart is implemented at the receiver side on an FPGA using the Verilog HDL. The correctness of this design is verified as the simulation results and real time results are identical.
