Cognitive Radar Assisted Target Tracking: A Study

The definitions of cognitive control that have been stated here are drawn from psychology and neuroscience. The way of implementing perception and acting on what has been perceived as done in the brain and a manner in which this process can be implemented to radars is quite identifiable. Also, this perception-action cycle goes well for a new and advanced system of radar by improvising the ways in which the transmitter and receiver are actually implemented for efficient and improved performance and system accuracy and reliability. Four basic requirements in the proposed cognitive radar system are Bayesian filtering in the receiver, dynamic programming in the transmitter, memory and global feedback to facilitate computational intelligence. The significance and methodology of these requirements are reported in this paper.
