Case Study: Arc Flash Study of Wang Noi Combined Cycle Power Plant by Handy Arc Flash Calculator

Arc flash is one of the severe electrical hazard which causes injury or decease to workers. EGAT concern about this hazard and develop Handy Arc Flash Calculator (HAFC) used for incident energy calculation according to the IEEE 1584 standard which released on 2002. This document shows a case study of using HAFC compared to ETAP software for Wang Noi Combined Cycle 4 (WNCC4). The results of both methods are the same.Moreover, the warning label which suitable for Thailand is created for the awareness of worker and selection of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) level.
