Effect of the Sun Elevation for Fixed PV System and Single-Axis-Tracking PV System

The framework of the PV system to be studied in this paper is installed in NTUT. The case-site configuration has 70. 3SkWp solar photovoltaic power generation capacity, a solar photovoltaic power generation system, and solar cells to absorb sunlight intensity, which is highly related.The solar photovoltaic power generation system mainly works at noon, and has the daily equivalent of about 2.5 sunshine hours in Taipei. Regarding the sun elevation in different in seasons, the highest is at noon in summer, the lowest is in winter, and it is between the above two in spring and autumn. The experimental method was to select good weather days from the end of the last two months of each season according to the degrees of difference between the solar panels and the angle of the sun's projection. It was found that the single-axis-tracking PV system generating capacity in the summer is about 15% higher than a fixed system, but in the spring/autumn/ winter have little difference in power output, thus, efficiency is not significant.
