Comparison of half cut solar cells with standard solar cells

This paper begins with an analysis of standard solar cells and half cut solar cells followed by a comparison of significant parameters which affects the solar cell performance. The comparison displays the surperiority of half cut solar cells over standard solar cells, in terms of better output, less losses and ease of manufacturing, making it a viable commercial alterntaive to standard cells. Cost and economic analysis and actual manufacturing process change or existing automation line updates are not reviewed in this paper.
