DVCCCTA Based High Input Impedance VM Biquad Filter by the Use of Minimum Number of Active Block and all Grounded Passive Elements

A new biquad filter (BF) topology is proposed in this paper which uses only single newly reported active element called differential voltage current controlled conveyor trans-conductance amplifier (DVCCCTA). In addition to single DVCCCTA, the circuit also consists of two resistors and two capacitors with each passive elements being grounded. Moreover, on applying the single input voltage signal at high impedance terminal, the proposed BF produces three different classes of voltage mode filtering responses, simultaneously, as band pass (BP), low pass (LP), and high pass (HP). Thus, the proposed BF is voltage input voltage output (VIVO) type configuration and hence, also be called voltage mode (VM) filter. Apart from its design simplicity, the circuit offers many attractive features such as minimum active element count, all grounded passive elements, acceptable range of total harmonic distortion (THD) and low value of active/passive sensitivity performances, etc. Furthermore, the pole frequency (

standard CMOS technology in PSPICE software.
