Affine Parameterization for the Dual Phase-Shifted Bidirectional Isolated DC-DC Converters

This paper presents a comprehensive approach in the controller design for bidirectional isolated DC-DC converter by using affine parameterization and dual phase shift (DPS) control. The small signal model of DAB converter with the DPS control derived from the space state average method is built to determine the duty cycles in DPS control. This algorithm regulates the DAB converter operating at the critial point that achieves the ZVS soft-switching and zero backflow power simultaneously. With the affine parameterization, main controller parameters can be directly derived from desired closed-loop models so that the parameters can be easily determined through the trade off between the system static performance and robustness. Main simulation and experiment results are provided to verify the availability of the proposed scheme.
