The Performances of Hybrid Filter in Elimination of AC-AC Converters Harmonics Pollution

This paper presents a perturbed system based three phase AC-AC converters as a non-linear load, we use cyclo-converter and three phase AC-AC controller, the shunt hybrid power filter (SHPF) is proposed to be deleted harmonic and approve reactive power compensation. The SHPF is the combination of a small-rating active power filter (APF) and the 5th,7th, and 11th harmonic-tuned LC passive filter, we use a control diagram of a shunt hybrid power filter enabling the mitigation of the THD which is based on the algorithm of PQ method and comprised of three feed-forward loops to eliminate the 5th,7th and 11th harmonics. The simulation results are found to be quite satisfactory to reduce harmonic distortions and to compensate reactive power.
