Magnetic and Thermal Analysis of Switched Reluctance Machines Integrated Battery Chargers

In this study, magnetic and thermal analysis of switched reluctance machine (SRM) 8/6, 4 kw in integrated battery chargers with electrical vehicle application is presented, this analysis done in charging mode with three level of battery's current. Zero torque control in this machine calculated with consideration of mutual inductance in multi-phase mode. Because of participate the SRM's winding in charging operation, so thermal management is very important, overheating causes the winding insulation to deteriorate and reduces its lifetime.
