Throughput Analysis for Decode-and-Forward Relaying Protocol with Wireless Energy Harvesting and Information Processing

In this paper, we consider the time switching relaying (TSR) protocol for decode-and-forward (DF) based single-way and two-way relaying networks consisting of a source, one relay, and a destination. The relay is assumed to have a rechargeable battery with a limited amount of remaining energy that is used for harvesting energy from the signal transmitted by the source. Analytical expressions for delay-limited and delay-tolerant throughputs are derived. Numerical results are employed to show the effect of different system parameters on the achievable throughput at receiving nodes.
