An Evolutionary Approach for Simulating Continuous Coalition Formation

In this paper, we present an evolutionary approach for introducing inertia on continuous cooperative games. We are implementing a simulator which allows us to simulate how coalition formation could be dynamically changed in a situation when we will have different coalition rules in each time. We introduce the concept of inertia in a coalition structure formation and it has been applied to our simulation environment. Introducing inertia in a coalition formation prevents unnecessary or too frequent changes of existing coalition structures into another structure even when its original coalition structure has the equal efficiency to another one. This has been done since a coalition structure generator may find another a coalition structure at that time but the changing cost prevents the transition of coalition structure.
