Does quality affect the adoption of an information system in a Moroccan company?

Purpose: Nowadays, technological tools have become very important and essential. But sometimes, they may have some adoption difficulties since adoption or rejection remains voluntary. There are several factors that can influence adoption and among these factors, we find quality of the tool. The purpose of this paper is to measure the effect of quality on the adoption of an information system (IS) within a Moroccan company.Methodology: To assess the effect of quality, we used a quantitative method by a questionnaire and the data was collected in the company using informal interviews.Value: The analysis of the results obtained using the Partial least squares (PLS) method allows us to know the influence of quality on the adoption of the IS and specifically the influence of the two characteristics of quality: performance expectancy and effort expectancy on the adoption of the IS in the Moroccan firm. The results than come out from this investigation show that effort expectancy had no influence on adoption whereas performance expectancy had a positive effect on adoption.
