A Novel Approach to the Reconfigurable Distributed Information and Control Systems Load-Balancing Improvement

This paper focuses on the issues of distributed information and control system reliability and fault-tolerance. The system configuration forming is under consideration: it is important to design configurations as balanced in terms of computational node load as possible. Within this paper, the novel approach to the load-balancing improving is presented and discussed. As the configuration forming problem is a multicriteria one, in our particular case at least one criterion can be eliminated from the general vector objective function. The semantic of the eliminated criterion can be delivered by the software components. Such “delegating” procedure leads to the improvement of the overall configuration forming problem solution quality. Within the current paper a brief review of the previous work is given, the model of configuration forming problem is generalized, and selected simulation results are presented.
