Wallets and Crypto Terminals for Blockchain; Introducing the Big Bang paradigm

Blockchain is an emerging technology that relies on signed transactions, collected by P2P network nodes, and thereafter inserted in blocks thanks to proof of work computing or proof of stake algorithm. Transactions are signed with private keys owned by blockchain users. Most of existing platforms use the same elliptic curve and signature algorithm, associated to 256 bits private keys. Security of private keys is a major security issue. Wallets, vaults, and crypto terminals are used for keys protection. In this talk we introduce most of market products addressing either hot technology (online software applications) or cold technology (hardware off line device). We analyze security threats (side channel attacks, supply chain attack...), and introduce the big bang concept, which attempt to proof the integrity of flash programmer token in order to avoid malware injection.
