Stable and Efficient Perovskite Solar Cell with Metal Oxide Transport Layers

Perovskite solar cell (PSC) with organic transport layers has very low stability. Replacing these transport layers with solution processed metal oxide drastically improves the stability and reduces the fabrication cost. In this paper, a simulation model of stable PSC with inorganic (metal oxide) transport layers is presented. Performance investigation of the reference PSC has been done by using compound perovskite material (CH3NH3PblxBrl-x) as the absorber layer and varying its thickness. A graded bandgap structure of the absorber layer was also employed for further increasing the efficiency of the PSC. The proposed structure exhibits a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.83%, open circuit voltage $(\mathbf{V}_{\mathrm{oc}})$ of 1.07 V, short circuit current $(\mathbf{J}_{\mathrm{se}})$) of 23.06 mA/cm² and fill factor of 76.57%. The output performance of PSC were simulated under standard test conditions (STC).
