The role of alternative assessment methods on school performance

The issue of educational assessment is one of the most controversial subjects of all time. In recent years, it appears that, with the traditional methods used in the evaluation process, there are used increasingly more modern evaluation methods / alternative / complementary. The first of them valorizes learning based on reproduction, the others are oriented towards constructive, innovative learning. Inevitably, in the evaluation process we also talk about subjectivism, often appearing disputes, and the quality of learning achieved by students depends on how they are evaluated. Alternative educational assessment methods are even an alternative to classical ones, as is the name. They also appear with the name “modern”, being considered different from what, classic” means. Of course, modern is not better than classical, we can only talk about the novelty of these methods, it is another way to evaluate pupils' results, a complementary one.
