Closed Loop Control of Transformerless Grid Tied Inverter

In order to reduce the total harmonic distortion (THD) in the transformerless grid connected system, the concept of H₅ inverter topology is proposed in this paper. This paper presents closed loop control of H₅ inverter topology at different load conditions. In H₅ inverter topology, instead four switches as used in conventional single phase H₄ inverter, five switches are used. Hence, the complete system consists of five power switches, LCL filter, proportional-integral controller and proportional-resonant controller and it is realized using MATLAB^R platform. Performance analysis of the studied inverter is evaluated at different load conditions.
