Design of Broadband Dual-Polarization H-Shaped Slots Apertures-coupled Microstrip Antenna

This paper designs a new type of wideband microstrip dual-polarized antenna based on the H-shaped slot aperture-coupled feed technology and two-line feed technology. The antenna uses a multi-layered antenna element, and a parasitic element is added in the upper patch element to achieve broadband characteristics. The H shaped coupling slot of the antenna element is placed vertically to increase the isolation of the two feed terminals. The simulated results indicate that the antenna unit operates in the frequency range of 11.09-12.61 GHz. The gain at the center frequency is 8.47 dB. When the return loss than -10 dB, the relative impedance bandwidth is 12.9%. The isolation of the polarization ports is above 38 dB.
