Transient Responses of Broadband Low Profile filter-antenna Under Impact of an EMP

The time-domain responses of some broadband low profile microstrip filter-antenna of the complex electrical information system in the presence of an exterior electromagnetic pulses (EMP) is studied in this conference paper. An efficient numerical method based on conformal FDTD method is implanted for studying an EMP coupling with some typical broadband low profile microstrip filter-antennas widely used in the different communication systems. The induced time-domain voltages and currents characteristics of the antenna illuminated by different incident EMPs are shown and compared in detail.
