Dispersion Engineering of Spoof Surface Plasmon Polariton: Applications in Achromatic Electromagnetic Devices

Spoof surface plasmon polariton(SSPP) is typically characteristic by strong dispersion, whose dispersion curve is nonlinear with both weak dispersion at lower frequencies and strong dispersion at higher [1]. frequencies in first Brillouin zone. The rich dispersion property of SSPP provides a possibility for us to tailor the SSPP dispersion curve to realize many types of electromagnetic(EM) devices. In this paper, based on dispersion engineering of SSPP, some applications in microwave achromatic EM devices including reflector and focusing lenses that we have conducted are introduced.
