Analysis and Design of Terahertz Stopband Filter Based on the Frequency-Selective Surface

An ultra-wideband terahertz filter was investigated based on the frequency selective surface (FSS) designed by the Jerusalem cross slot structure. Through careful modeling and systematic analyzing, good stopband filtering characteristics in the range of 0.35 -0.55 THz are achieved with the transmittance <; 0.1. When the filter's bandwidth increases, our results show the FSS filter is still able to provide sound angular stability, polarization stability, and sufficient robustness.
