Secure Dynamic Data Storage with Third Party Arbitration in Cloud

Cloud computing facilitates the movement of application software and files to the centralized large data centers, where management of the data and services may not be completely trustworthy. As the need for greater off-site and outsourced storage of data arises, the vulnerabilities of trusting clients' data to a third party cloud server can arise. This paper proposes a public auditing scheme with dynamic data support and fair arbitration of potential future disputes in the verification scheme. In this work we study the problem of ensuring client data integrity stored on the cloud server and creating a mechanism that can impartially judge and pass judgment, if a dispute arises. Since all disputes would not be able to be fully resolved satisfactorily by both parties, we propose an Arbiter that would be a trusted third party that will process data from both the client and server and arrive at an unbiased judgment.
