Implementing Adaptive AUTOSAR Diagnostic Manager with Classic Diagnostics as APIs

The growing use cases in automotive domain; raise completely new requirements to a software platform for the next generation of ECUs. To meet this AUTOSAR consortium came up with a new AUTOSAR platform known as Adaptive AUTOSAR. But to implement new technology it leads to huge financial cost, resource, and time to meet the final product. Thus there will be a delay in the production of products dependent on new technological advancement. Adaptive AUTOSAR platform is based on Service Oriented Architecture with implementation in C++. To develop service from scratch would be very costly and time consuming. This paper come up with a novel innovative idea to develop Diagnostic Manager of Adaptive AUTOSAR. It states to utilize the already developed classic AUTOSAR diagnostics code by converting them to service APIs for Adaptive AUTOSAR diagnostic manager implementation. These APIs can be invoked at respective place in diagnostics manager skeleton to develop Adantive diagnostics manager.
