Wind park electric power estimation based on the Jensen wake model

In this study, the analytical Jensen wake model is described and implemented to estimate the velocity deficit in the wind park domain. Velocity deficit distribution is discussed for a given wind park layout for different wind directions. In this model, the wake-wake interaction is modeled by the superposition principle. The total electric power produced by this wind farm is then obtained by using a power curve obtained from an eoloelectric generator dynamical model. Simplicity of this model might allow its use in electric power forecasting tasks, layout optimization, and other power systems applications.
