Model Predictive Control for Linear Parameter-Varying Systems

The aim of this paper is to present a methodology for the control of linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems, focused on the case of linear-time periodic (LTP) systems, where through the application of the extended harmonic domain (EHD) methodology, it is possible to achieve a transformation of a LTP system into a LPV system. A posteriori, it is possible to analyze the stability of the system and then apply a control strategy such as the model predictive control (MPC), which takes advantage of LPV structure. The described methodology is presented in the application to a power electronic converter such as the Boost converter.
