Design of a Chaos Based Cryptosystem for Encrypting Data Received Through GPS Tracker

The work presented in this paper, proposes a GlobalPosition System (GPS) tracker secured by chaos based cryptosystem. The GPS tracker embeds the SIM808 module and the Mbed NXP LPC1768 board. The proposed chaos based cryptosytem is implemented on Mbed board and it is based on stream cipher and chaotic permutation technique. This secret key encryption technique is faster and more robust in terms of data security, which is required in real-time applications. All cryptosystems must satisfy Shannon's requirements, which are confusion and diffusion, the confusion is achieved by bitwise operation, while the diffusion is achieved by a permutation technique using arnold's cat map. Ciphered data is then sent to a fixed station via GSM network by using SMS. At the receiver side, the received message SMS is decrypted to provide the object location coordinates and we display them on a GUI.
