Abstract:

A strong and effective health care system is one of the key indications of a developed nation. Most of the countries that are developed are amongst the countries which top the list of best healthcare nations all over the world. Sultanate of Oman has maintained a good rank at the international arena and is amongst 10-15 top countries having the highest ranking for the healthcare. However in current scenario when innovative technologies are being embedded in every field and sector of human endeavor, until one brings innovation and modernization in Health Care, it is very difficult to improvise and compete with the rest. Although Sultanate of Oman has a very vibrant health care system which at least provides basic healthcare facility to every individual in the country. However, a lot needs to be done as far as healthcare sector is concerned bearing the fact that many of the countries all over the world are bringing innovative technologies to improve their healthcare system. This research paper is an effort towards decreasing mortality rate of accidents and critical illnesses by implementing modern technologies such as Big Data and IoT. Moreover this research is aimed towards improvement and modernization of general healthcare sector in Sultanate of Oman.
