Value Co-Creation In Wine Logistics: The Case of Dartess

Logistics innovations are dependent on technology and standardization. However, much of this relationship has focused on technical aspects. Associated transformation in organizational processes and co-creation designs can benefit these innovations. In this paper, we provide the case of the leading logistics service provider in wine industry in France - the DARTESS company - and how they manage innovation in logistics. The French wine sector is a multifaceted and fragmented system providing opportunities for digital technologies and information sharing. Logistics service information technology can help actors co-create relational value through service innovations. We illustrate this issue with our case. Three managerial lessons are reviewed social impacts, technical, and logistical co-value creation and development of joint customer service.
