A Cost-Effective Multichannel Wireless ECG Acquisition System

Electrocardiography (ECG) is a non-invasive technique which records the electrical activity generated by heart muscle depolarization's and it is widely used for diagnosis of heart disease. For disease confirmation and analysis purpose multichannel ECG measurement system is more preferable than a single channel ECG measurement system. This paper presents the design and implementation of a cost-effective 3 channel ECG acquisition system, which can be used for both clinical and analysis purpose. In the proposed system Arduino Uno is used for signal acquisition and it gives wireless feature by Bluetooth. In this system, the software is developed in Java and this system can be used in both laptop and desktop computer weather having Windows or Linux or Mac OS. This system visualizes the 3 channel ECG and stores it in a CSV file in real-time. Stored ECG data on CSV file can be used in MATLAB for analysis purpose and telemedicine purpose.
