Direct Torque Control to Improve the Performances of the DSIM Powered by Indirect Matrix Converter

In this work we present a direct torque control (DTC) for dual stator induction machine (DSIM) powered by indirect matrix converter. In this study, we focus on improving the control performances so as to diminish the flux and torque ripple, and to fix the input power factor to one. Both two stages, the inversion and the rectification of the Indirect Matrix Converter (IMC) are controlled symmetrically. For the purpose of reducing the cost, the proposed method is applied to the DSIM. A Simulation results are presented to show the improvement in performances.
