Performance Study of Quench Protection Circuit on a 3.5 T MRI SC Magnet Based on Rectifier Diodes

A new quench protection circuit for a 3.5 T MRI SC magnet has been designed based on cryogenic property of rectifier diodes performance of the quench protection circuit is studied by a numerical simulation with the discussion of the influence of heaters' location and startup time on quench protection.
