An Online Parameter Identification for Ultracapacitor Model by Using Recursive Least Square with Multi-forgetting Factor

Reliable parameters information is of great importance for on-board energy management and optimal power control. In this paper, we applies the online strategy of multi-forgetting factor recursive least square algorithm to identify parameters of first-order dynamic model through cyclic operating current. The output voltage of the identified model shows a good agreement with the experimental results, and the results of comparison with curve fitting method highlight the proposed method has great accuracy and convergence.
