A fuzzy control algorithm to shape the output waveform of phase-controlled frequency converters

This paper is mainly devoted to the study of shaping the output waveform of phase-controlled frequency converters. Based on the fundamental principle of the two-variable control theory, a fuzzy control algorithm for improving the symmetry of the output waveform of the converter is proposed and, further, the corresponding firing pulse control is discussed. For comparison, the unimproved time constant table and the output waveforms are also included.
