Product Cost Calculation of Piezoelectric Generator as an Energy Harvester

A piezoelectric generator has been developed as a renewable energy harvester. As a new product, the product cost estimation must be performed. This paper proposes a methodology for product cost calculation of the developed product using full costing method. The calculation result shows that the electrical component in terms of piezoelectric transducer is dominant about 41.31%of total product cost followed by mechanical components of 28.25%, labor cost of 25.74 %, and overhead cost of 4.69%. The calculated product cost that obtained is expected to be a consideration for developing the piezoelectric generator.
