Study on the Influence of Lane Occupancy on Urban Road Capacity

The influence of lane occupancy on urban road capacity is studied in this paper. First, an equation model of the actual capacity of the road is established. By dividing the time interval from the accident to the evacuation, the actual capacity of each time interval is obtained and the general process of its change is obtained. According to the principle of traffic flow conservation, the relationship model between the queuing length of vehicles and the actual traffic capacity of the accident cross section, the duration of the accident, and the upstream traffic flow of the section is established, and the time when the queuing length of vehicles reaches the upstream intersection is calculated.
