Circuit Simulator for Wideband Lumped Element Circulator

It has been well known that the bandwidth of lumped element circulator at VHF and UHF could be broaden by adding some LC resonant circuits. In this paper, based on eigen mode excitation method, the new circuit simulator that can describe the properties will be reported. As the additional circuits, the LsCs resonant circuits connected in series at each terminal, and the CdCd resonant circuit connected to increase the reactive energy at in-phase mode excitation were investigated. Furthermore, connecting both resonant circuits simultaneously, the optimization of each circuit element leads to realize the ultra wideband circulator with triple hump characteristics.
