Robust MRAC Supervision of a Multi-source Renewable Energy System Using Fractional-Order Integrals

This paper investigates the electrical energy transfers in a multisource renewable energy system using fractional order model reference adaptive control (FO-MRAC). The considered system is composed of two sources (photovoltaic and lead-acid battery bank), a specific zero voltage switch full-bridge isolated buck DC/DC power converter and the resistive load. First we start with the presentation of dynamic equations describing the coupling of buck converters, then. The main contributions of this work are to proposes a FO-MRAC control design for the supervision of the electrical energy transfers control in a multi-source renewable energy system, the objective is to stabilize the system's current and voltage of DC/DC converters coupled on the DC bus of multisource renewable energy system with resistive load fluctuation. The simulation results are presented and show a fast dynamic response of the DC bus voltage and robustness to load and input voltage variations.
