Verification of long-term connection reliability of DC connentor

Solar photovoltaics generation systems are used in many areas as mainstream of renewable energy because they can easily build power generation environment.It is known that the photovoltaic power system is supplied with a DC power supply, but the DC power supply generates an arc discharge phenomenon when the circuit is extinguished. An arc discharge phenomenon may cause an unexpected accident if appropriate measures are not taken.We have examined several factors leading to arc discharge at the connecting part of the connector. As a result of the verification, it was found that the gap of the connection part and the withdrawal speed greatly relate to the arc discharge. That is, the removal speed of the connector is largely related to the arc discharge phenomenon.Therefore, a connection component that may be manipulated by a human being needs a structure to avoid the arc discharge phenomenon. The developed connector has an internal arc extinguishing function and the structure of the arc discharge phenomenon is not affected by the removal speed of the connector.Furthermore, by making the arc extinguishing function to mechanical operation, it is not influenced by human working speed.
