The Benefits of the Coding Standards Enforcement and it's Influence on the Developers' Coding Behaviour: A Case Study on Two Small Projects

A respectance of the coding standards has been proved to contribute to self-improvement of many realms of Software Development Process. In particular, this is true for the Software Quality, with focus on maintaining and porting; Robustness, with a focus on stability and endurance; Safety, with a focus on reliability; and Software Security. The Coding Standards are salient for the development and their importance and benefits are not questionable. The problem is that the coding standards vary between projects and developers need to adjust to different standards when switching between the projects. This paper enumerates all the fields that have benefits of the coding standards implementation while answering the question: What is the impact of the software coding compliance on the developer's work?
