The state of the art of electronically tunable compact bandpass filters design

An overview of the electronically tunable RF and microwave bandpass filters using small-size resonators is presented. Design approaches, advances, trends, and challenges are discussed. A special emphasis is made on the design issues which are not always taking into account but can have a significant impact on tunable filter characteristics.
