Compact Dual-Band Flexible Antenna for WLAN/Wi-Fi Applications

A compact flexible monopole antenna (18 mm×16 mm) with coplanar waveguide (CPW) feed structure for dual-band applications is presented in this paper. The antenna is fabricated on a 50 urti flexible Dupont material with dielectric constant 3.2 and loss tangent 0.003. The antenna has a bandwidth (-10 dB) of 80 MHz in the 2.4 GHz band and 125 MHz in the 5.8 GHz band, which is suitable for WLAN and Wi-Fi applications. The measured gain is 1.44 dB and 2.65 dB in lower and higher bands.
