Optimal Efficiency Control of Asymmetrical Fifteen Phase PMSM Based on Fuzzy Logic Control Theory

The overall efficiency of multi-phase motor system operation is one of the main concerns. In order to improve the overall efficiency of the multi-phase motor system during operation and expand the scope of highly efficient zone, it is necessary to perform a reasonable torque distribution for each set of windings of the multi-phase motor according to operating conditions. This paper proposes torque distribution control based on fuzzy control theory for optimal operating efficiency of fifteen-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The fifteen-phase PMSM uses a 3*5 phase star connection and three neutrals are independent of each other, using three dq-axis vector control modes. Firstly, the fifteen-phase motor control implementations for symmetric windings and asymmetrical windings are compared and analyzed, the regular torque distribution strategy is proposed. Secondly, the fuzzy control method is used to construct the dynamic distribution torque model to achieve the optimal efficiency control of fifteen phase PMSM. Finally, the simulation results confirm the efficacy of the design, the entire multi-phase motor torque distribution control system has strong adaptability and robustness.
