Development of a Core Sampling Skid for an Observation class ROV

In the present work is described the development and features of a Core Sampling Skid for a ROV Lynx 1117 (Observation class), using compatible systems with several ROVs that could represent an alternative to modify Observation class ROVs to take sediment cores in the seabed with a reduced cost respect the ROV Work Class platforms. The Skid consist in a hydraulic systems controlled by a telemetry system that modify the position of a manipulator arm and the container of the cores samples trough a joystick, to enable and disable the respective degrees of freedom.
