Weather Monitoring for Predicting Thermal Comfort and Energy Efficiency

This paper analyses weather monitoring systems using various platforms and types of equipment, one of them being Klara, an Android application installed on a smartphone, which produces a multi-day forecast that includes temperature and pressure in the atmosphere. Another system used for weather forecasting is through the Meteotest API, which provides climatic and satellite data for specific geographical coordinates, but also air pollution measurements and back-casting. The thermal comfort using ISO 7730 standard and the energy efficiency for improving indoor environmental comfort powered by photovoltaic installation system was calculated. The use of the RayManPro model led to the determination of PET (Physiological Equivalent Temperature) and TSV (thermal sensation) and to the correlation of data.
