Intelligent monitoring and planning system for herbicidal processes in agricultural crops

In this paper we present a solution for monitoring and planning of processes in agriculture. We monitor the parameters related to the state of the crop, in our case the presence of weeds in agricultural crops, but also the parameters related to the machines that are used (in our case the herbicidal plants - the pump current consumption). Planning is done by using an intelligent algorithm, a genetic algorithm, to determine the optimal crop productivity / operating ratio. The paper presents the results of some interdisciplinary researches in: monitoring solutions, radio networks, IT solutions for events collection and processing, artificial intelligence.
