ACE Speech Processing Strategy and Feature Analysis in CI Device

In clinical application, cochlear implant (CI) is an important medical device to help many persons with severe deafness to obtain auditory sensation. Speech processing strategy is the most important part in CI device, which extracts signal feature of the desired voice and then modulates the original signal to adapt to signal transmission and electrode stimulation. The advanced combined encoder (ACE) method is one of the most famous speech processing strategies applied in the present CI device. In this paper, we research the algorithm structure of ACE strategy and analyze the signal feature after signal modulation, aiming to improve the speech recognition for further algorithm research.
