Promotion of College Students' Physical Health: A Case Study on Physical Education Intervention

There are a number of variables that affect the college students' physical health. The level of college students' physical health has been declining for many years, improving the physical quality of students is an important task of higher physical education. The current study was conducted to investigate the contributions of physical education intervention to college students' physical health. Selected students of Wuhan University of Technology (N=6533) in grade 2014 as samples, through the implementation of teaching intervention, observation and comparison analysis of health test indexes is conducted before and after intervention. Using literature review, expert consultation, measurement and mathematical statistics and other research methods, study on the feasibility of improving the physical health of college students by the teaching intervention of X+ physical quality. The results show that: physical education teaching can effectively improve the physical quality of students, including the improvement of physical fitness of boys is significantly higher than girls.
