Study on Transmission Planning of Combined Wind and Storage System

The characteristics of wind power generation and the technical breakthrough of energy storage equipment make it possible to put large-scale energy storage equipment into the power grid. The change of the output mode of the wind storage combined system will inevitably affect the operation of the system. The output power curve of the combined system of wind storage and storage system is segmented in the research cycle, and the optimized output strategy is formulated. Other thermal power units use the optimal economic dispatching principle to calculate the force value with the combined system of wind storage. The transmission planning model of the wind-storage joint system is established with the goal of maximizing the total benefit of the system. The example uses the typical sunrise force curve of the wind farm and the improved IEEE-18 node system. The artificial fish swarm algorithm (ASFA) is used to determine the cost and optimal transmission of the wind storage combined system 1, 2, 4 and 8 respectively. Comparing the cost of each segmented system, it can be seen that the transmission planning scheme at the time of the four-segment output is shorter than that of the transmission plan without the energy storage, the investment is reduced, and the total system benefit is the largest. The example proves that it is feasible to invest in energy storage equipment in the power grid and operate in a certain way to effectively reduce transmission investment and improve the economics of the system.
