Supplementary Frequency Regulation Strategy Considering Electric Vehicles

As more and more renewable energy is connected to the grid, the volatility and intermittent nature of the output make the frequency control of the power system more complicated. Due to the low climbing rate and slow response speed, the traditional generator set cannot vanish the influence of renewable energy on the system frequency in time. In this work, we propose that based on fast response characteristic, electric vehicles response to the high frequency components of the regulation signal, and distribute the signal to every vehicle according to battery state of charge. The simulation result shows that the method could effectively restrain the frequency deviation of system.
