Analysis of Abnormal Discharge of 220kV Transformer

Partial discharge testing is a key test to test the quality of transformer. When partial discharge quantity exceeds the relevant standard, insulation oil analysis and ultrasonic location detection can effectively find fault location. Then, when the partial discharge is small and the discharge time is short, the above two methods cannot effectively determine the fault location. Based on a case of 220 kV transformer partial discharge exceeding the standard, the neutral support method is used to determine the fault location effectively, and the conclusion of the accident analysis is verified by checking the hanging cover of the transformer. It provides an effective test method for the later stage field test analysis.
